For payment via the terminal, the system provides a context window with the following options:

Obsah obrázku text, snímek obrazovky, Písmo, číslo

Popis byl vytvořen automaticky

Currency

The currency in which the reservation, paymaster, retail, or issued invoice was created is automatically selected. The currency can be changed by the user to the other supported system currency (e.g., from CZK to EUR and vice versa). Changing the currency will recalculate the amount at the exchange rate valid at the time of payment.

Amount

The amount is automatically pre-filled according to the remaining amount due in the reservation, paymaster, retail, or issued invoice. In case of a currency change, the amount will be recalculated at the exchange rate valid at the time of payment.

Create Token

Before sending the payment to the terminal, the user checks the checkbox, and during the payment process, the guest's card is tokenized in 3DS mode. The card token is then stored in the reservation under the Payment Cards section and can be used for further payments in the usual way, as if the card was added to the reservation with an online reservation. A token can only be created when paying via the terminal in the reservation; this option is not available for payments in paymasters, retail, or issued invoices.

Manual Card Entry

Adyen allows this functionality for so-called “card present” transactions, meaning transactions where the card and its owner are present on the premises but the card cannot be used by tapping, inserting, or swiping through the terminal (the card is damaged – broken, scratched, non-functional chip or contactless chip). Before sending the payment to the terminal, the user checks the checkbox, and after sending the payment to the terminal, they are prompted to manually enter the card number and expiration date. This functionality can be combined with the creation of a token – both checkboxes can be checked simultaneously. It cannot be combined with MOTO payment; when the manual card entry checkbox is checked, the option to check MOTO payment disappears from the menu.

MOTO Payment

Adyen allows this functionality for so-called “card not present” transactions, meaning transactions where neither the card nor its owner is present on the premises. Before sending the payment to the terminal, the user checks the checkbox, and after sending the payment to the terminal, they are prompted to manually enter the card number, expiration date, and CVV code. This functionality can be combined with the creation of a token – both checkboxes can be checked simultaneously. It cannot be combined with manual card entry; when the MOTO payment checkbox is checked, the option to check manual card entry disappears from the menu. This functionality is mainly used for processing virtual cards that did not transfer from the channel manager to the HotelTime reservation or cannot be processed from the reservation using online payments integrated in HotelTime.
