Terminal onboarding
The terminals and charging bases from us are clearly labeled with a code. The same code can be used to identify the terminals in the HotelTime application and should be used when communicating with HotelTime support.
1. Connecting the charging base
Before starting to use the terminals, first prepare the charging base:
- connect DC plug adapter to the power cord
- plug the power cord into a socket
2. Power ON the terminal
Turn on the terminal using the button on the left side of the terminal. Then place the terminal on the charging base, where it will charge.
3. Wi-fi setting
We recommend connecting the terminal to the hotel's wireless network. A secure network should be chosen, one that is used by hotel computers or printers, for example. We do not recommend connecting the terminal to an open network, such as one available to guests.
The terminal has an integrated data SIM card, which ensures it is connected to the internet even in case of a Wi-Fi outage.
On the terminal display, select Settings > Network (enter the password) > Wi-Fi > choose the requested network.
4. Training to work with payment terminals across the HotelTime system
As part of the onboarding process, our staff will make sure you are as familiar as possible with the features of HotelTime and Adyen payment terminals. Before you start using the terminals, they will arrange a short training session with you and guide you through all the related features to make your experience of using the payment solution in HotelTime as good as possible.
