When launching the Vento program, the following message may appear:
"The update package cannot be downloaded."
Cause
The most common reason is missing write permissions.
Vento is usually installed directly on C:\
, where regular users do not have full access.
Solution
Option 1: Move the Vento folder
Close the Vento program.
Locate the
C:\Vento
folder (or the folder where the program is installed).Copy the entire folder:
Right-click → Copy
Paste the folder to Desktop or Documents:
Right-click → Paste
Run
Vento.exe
from the new folder.
In this new location, users usually have full access. The update should complete successfully.
Option 2: Run as administrator
Close the Vento program.
Find
Vento.exe
or its shortcut.Right-click → Run as administrator
If prompted, enter the administrator password.
After the update is complete, you can launch Vento normally again.
Recommendation
Do not keep Vento installed directly in the root C:\
folder.
We recommend using folders like Documents or Desktop.
